{tit}{cp}10% SUPERCHARGED OVERDRIVE BALANCERS HSV GTS VF V8 6.2L LSA Supercharger overdrive harmonic balancer upgrade kit is designed to enhance the LSA supercharged engine. The Powerbond overdrive harmonic balancer kit produces excellent horsepower and torque improvements over the factory level of boost and supercharger RPM. This harmonic balancer kit will increase boost by raising the RPM of your supercharger by overdriving it from the harmonic balancer. This kit does not replace the driven supercharger pulley on the supercharger snout. Testing has shown over 40 rear wheel horsepower improvement and over 3.5 lbs of boost with the 10% overdrive balancer pulley installed with the stock supercharger pulley on an otherwise stock engine. With tuning the overdrive harmonic balancer can be used alone. However further gains are possible with an upgraded fuel system and a supercharger driven pulley upgrade kit for higher boost levels. Thu, 13 Jun 2013The Electric Ford Focus (pictured) is now being built in Europe The electric Ford Focus is already in production, and on sale, in the USA, and now it’s gone in to production in Germany ahead of arriving with owners in July. So far, the Focus EV hasn’t been an overwhelming success in the US, with just over 700 sold in the first five months of 2013 but, even though Ford see the EV as a niche product, they’re still hoping to make a dent in sales of the Nissan LEAF in Europe. The Focus EV comes with an electric motor producing 143bhp and powered by a bank of lithium-ion batteries.
University of Huddersfield Degree Show 2010
Tue, 06 Jul 2010The University of Huddersfield Transportation Design course recently exhibited the work of this year's graduating students as part of the School of Art and Design degree show. Huddersfield's course is very much a transportation – rather than purely automotive design-based degree – and the work of this year's graduating class therefore spans a broad range of projects, from automotive design, bikes and trains through to work that draws strongly from the world of product and interior design. Land Rover LRS-1 Paul Davey Research into the history of the Land Rover Defender, which included extensive research with owners old and new, led Davey down the route of defining a new entry-level model for the company.
